Kotaku Magu: Edge's "The Art Of Videogames"

Picked this up the other day, thought I'd share. Because I'm a sharing, caring kind of guy. It's not cheap, clocking in at 8 (I paid AUD$22, so expect about USD$15-18), but surprisingly it's worth every penny/cent, as it's as close to a decent coffee table book on video games you're going to get from a newsagent. That is, if you're into the shallow, pretty stuff. Which I most certainly am, seeing as I am both pretty AND shallow.

It's about 260 pages of (mostly) full-page renders, concept artwork and promo art, covering...well, I'd like to say thirty years of video gaming, but most of the stuff is either current or in-production, which is only a little bit sad. What's there is good, though, and as a bonus it's also sprinkled with some I Am 8-Bit in case you'd like to see some of it on paper instead of 300x200 jpegs.
