At least one Target store has broken the Xbox 360 Elite street date, selling the $479 upgrade to the Xbox 360 to a man in Chico, California. Not set to hit until April 29th, one lucky shopper got his hairy mitts on the Elite and did the only sane thing. He put it on eBay.

Now at $600, the item will probably wind up in the hands of the "lucky" bidder as early as the 24th if they go for the next day shipping option (for me, a very do-able $99). My advice? Just go for the ground shipping. You'll probably have it by the 30th. Oh. Wait. Michael McWhertor
