You own a PAL Sony device, you're used to expecting disappointment, and today shall be no different. Sony's Hugo Bustillos has said that while Americans can enjoy the shinier, hidden HD mode in God of War II, European and Australian owners are straight out of luck.

It's a shame but sadly couldn't be avoided.

According to Sony, the extra space needed for the HD mode on PAL discs had been taken up by the localised European-language soundtracks, so they just couldn't fit everything in.
