Square Enix Play Executive Musical Chairs

Square Enix have shuffled their executive ranks around a little, with European bossman John Yamamoto taking up the North American reigns from Square supremo Yoichi Wada, who obviously wants just a little less work on his plate.

Yamamoto will be keeping his European responsibilities, while former North American prez Daishiro Okada will serve as his Vice President and "focus on business development in the North American market".

Why the moves? Seems Square-Enix want Yamamoto to increase the company's presence in Europe and Australiasia. A noble cause, yeah, but these guys make Final Fantasy - chances are if you haven't played a single game from that little series by now you never will.
