Subject: A Big Start

Hope ya didn't miss me! Luke held down the fort as today was my kid's school entrance ceremony. Yes, he's only three and yes he's in the equivalent of pre-school or kindergarten, but it's a big deal! So big that my wife got up super early to get ready. All the parents were decked out in formal wear and the kids in the uniforms with little hats. There were speeches from the headmaster and teachers, and we all stood under gently falling cherry blossoms as the child squirmed in little wooden seats. It ended up being an all day affair even after with dinner with the in-laws stretching into the evening.

What I missed while I was out:

The kid has to wake up early for his first full day tomorrow. Mrs. Bashcraft got a book on how to make insanely cute and intricately decorative lunches. She'll be up early, too!
