Whoops! No Gears of War Update Next Week?

WHAT?!?! Sorry, Gears fans. Looks like Epic's gameplay tease from earlier might have been issued a tad prematurely. We wrote this morning about the planned Gears of War update that would include the new Annex game type and minor changes to Assassination due to hit Monday, April 9th, but it appears Epic Games may have jumped the gun. The update information on the official site has since been pulled completely.

According to an updated story from 1UP, Microsoft is trying to clear the air. Sure, the Annex updates are all legit, but the actual update won't be hitting Monday. When will it hit? Good question. We'd like to know ourselves. Michael McWhertor
