1998: Activision releases Dark Reign: Rise of the Shadowhand for PC in the US. As a massive Dark Reign fan, it's hard to believe that I never sought out this expansion. Maybe that's just another travesty of the gaming world pre-absolute crazy Internet phenomenon where you can not escape information if you tried.

2006: Blizzard plays an early April Fools joke by announcing Wisps as the new WoW Alliance race. And it's only cruel because a ton of people would have played as Wisps, if only for the joke factor. Mark Wilson
