While word that LEGO Star Wars developer Traveller's Tales was working on a blocky version of the dark knight as early as last September, confirmation now comes in the form of an official agreement between Warner Bros. and LEGO to bring LEGO Batman to multiple platforms. TT Games (duh) will be developing, with Warner Bros. Interactive providing the publishing, distributing, and financing.

The game will follow a similar formula to the Lego Star Wars series, which is a good thing. You could simply swap a Batman model into either of the LSW games without changing anything else and still have the best Batman video game ever made.

The only bad thing about the whole deal is the sometime in 2008 release date, which means we have at the very least 9 months until we see this bat-baby on store shelves. Michael Fahey
