One of the PSP's best original titles, Wipeout Pure, is getting a proper sequel from Sony Liverpool. Successor Wipeout Pulse not just a collection of new tracks—although there are 24 promised—but a one-up in nearly every way.

Online racing, photo mode, even a new track element called the "Mag-Strip" let's racers perform seemingly impossible feats like loops and pure vertical drops by locking onto the track. Wait, didn't F-Zero GX do this? Oh, we won't nitpick!

The game doesn't hit PSPs until September, so you'll have to comfort yourself with the newly released screens over at Eurogamer. Michael McWhertor
