The official Bungie site has a fascinating look at the monumental amount of work involved in making Halo 3: The Legendary Edition a reality. Adding in a replica Spartan helmet for the uber version of the game just makes an already complicated product even more challenging.
But Chinese laborers are slaving... err toiling away at the injection molded mini-helmets at a truly dizzying pace. They'll be making "36,000 helmets per week in a six day week" which "equals 6,000 per day, 3,000 per 10/hour shift, 300 per hour which all translates to one every 12 seconds." And that's not even at peak manufacturing!
The project, now two years in the making, may be more of an undertaking than you might think. Check out the full feature over at Bungie.
