Subject: Pirates (No, Not You)
Hope you had a good weekend and are ready for GDC fun. Yesterday, we took the kid to see the new One-Piece movie, called One Piece Episode of Alabasta: The Desert Princess and the Pirates. In case you are not familiar with One-Piece, it's a manga/anime about a group of pirates. They're not regular sea dogs, but think the Fantastic Four meets Pirates of the Caribbean. I loathe One-Piece, like loathe it. I think the series is way overrated, the writing is not sharp and art is irritating. There are a few flourishes I do like about One-Piece, but man, I don't see the appeal in the least!
What you missed while you were sleeping:
- No Wii third-party online this year? Oh noes!
- Smattering of Sony Stuff: Baffling management, baffling ads and unreleased game on network TV.
- Japanese nerds really, really love Xbox Live. Or so we hear.
