    2000: The 3DO Company releases Sammy Sosa Softball Slam for Playstation and PC. Why did Sosa get a softball game instead of baseball? Corked bats aren't illegal in softball. Ok...that might not be true, but it makes a pleasant punchline for a White Sox fan.

    2006: Nintendo releases the DS Lite in Japan. The system is an incredible flop and for the first time in history, a product was created that absolutely no one purchased*.
