Remember a few weeks back when I had dinner with Scott Steinberg, Kyle Orland and Dave Thomas in Denver? No, that's OK. I couldn't say it at the time, but they were in town to finish up their Videogame Style Guide.
The Videogame Style Guide and Reference Manual aspires to provide gaming writers a set of common rules to work by. The guide deals with such minutiae as whether video game should be one word or two and whether you should use the word console or system. It also includes quite a bit of reference material such as notable names, games and companies.
The 150-page book will sell for just under $15, but working game writers can get an electronic version gratis by hopping over to the official site.
