Remember way back in September of last year when we reported a rumor that Blue Dragon was getting an anime based off of it? Well apparently while we weren't paying attention the rumor because true, went into production, and is now set to be aired in Japan in April on TV Tokyo. The show is being produced by Studio Pierrot, who worked on Bleach and Naruto, two shows that you'll get sick of real quick if you regularly attend anime conventions.

So, in summary, an anime produced by the Bleach and Naruto company based off an RPG by Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi with character designs by Dragon Ball's Akira Toriyama and music by Nobuo Umematsu. Somewhere an otaku just exploded. Michael Fahey
