    1999: Square Co. releases Final Fantasy 8 for Playstation in Japan. It was the fastest selling FF title of all time, racking up $50 million in sales in 13 weeks. In the industry, we call that the Final Fantasy 7 Effect.

    2002: Nintendo releases Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 for GBA in the US. The game was ruined by new button mapping, that cannot be changed. This button mapping is also on the Wii version if you are playing with a wavebird. Nintendo, I want my money back. Twice.
