While interviewing Final Fantasy III DS Director and Executive Producer Hiromichi Tanaka, Pro-G's Lesley Smith uncovered some interesting information regarding Square-Enix's new MMO game after asking him about his future plans.

I'm still working on XI as it's on-going but we are also working on a next-generation MMORPG for 360 and Vista but PS3 is a possibility.

When Final Fantasy XI was first announced for the 360 you may recall talk that it would be too difficult to rework that game from the ground up to work with the PlayStation 3. Perhaps the new MMO is being built from the same basic engine, presenting the same problems as before...after all, Tanaka does work on FFXI.

I'm not going to call this a big boon for the 360 until a PS3 version is officially ruled out and I see some gameplay footage. An exclusive piece of crap is still a piece of crap. Think Squeenix can do no wrong? Two words. Unlimited Saga. Michael Fahey
