    1997: Square Co releases Final Fantasy VII for Playstation in Japan. Here's your day, fanboys. Live it up, and tell us why FF7 is the best - and yes, Cloud's gargantuan, mega, massive, ludicrous sword counts as a perfectly viable argument. Seriously, if he were to drop the blunt end on someone's toe it would still be at least 50HP in damage.

    1999: Konami releases Silent Hill for Playstation in the US. My favorite story about this game is that developers needed the fog to take polygon processing pressure off the system, but it ended up adding/making the atmosphere at the same time.
