Burger King has published its quarterly earnings report today, reporting an $11 million rise in net income over this time last year. The leap is being attributed to the 360 video game promotion, which spurred sales as gamers flocked to chain restaurants to pick up the three King-based titles, presumably being unable to find a sharp enough stick to poke in their eyes instead.

The promotion had me going to Burger King for the first time in years, all for the sake of three relatively abysmal game offerings that creeped me out much more than they entertained. They might have gotten the exact same results had they advertised "Massive car wreck with bodies laying about at every store," which would have the added effect of making their food just that much more palatable.
