Xbox Live Leads to School Lockdown

An Ohio school was locked down yesterday after a middle school student told a California teen over Xbox Live that he was planning to bring a 9mm pistol to school, according to the Pickaway County Sheriff's department.

The high school lockdown came after the middle school student was arrested for the threat about his school.

"Our suspicion is that the incident trickled over to the high school," said Teays Valley Superintendent Jeff Sheets.

He added that they have talked to every student and spent hours investigating the rumor along with the Pickaway County Sheriff's Office.

The 13-year-old involved in the original, Xbox Live, threat was arrestes and charged with inducing a public panic. Deputies served a search warrant at his house but were unable to find the 9mm, they did seize a firearm and an Xbox 360.
