This Day in Gaming, December 28th

1903: John von Neumann is born in Budapest. He is one of the key figures behind the modern computer, designing von Neumann architecture (which from how I understand it, means that the computer uses one storage device for both its instructions and data). And how could we frag without von Neumann architecture? Oh, he also helped invent the hydrogen bomb...I guess you take the good with the bad.

2001: The 3DO Company releases Jonny Moseley Mad Trix for PS2 in the US. You are an xtreme extreme skier, in an extremely bad game. But maybe it isn't 3DO's fault, maybe it's just skiing that sucks. Just ask The Governator.

Update: Bungie released Myth 2 Soulblighter 8 years ago today.
