Wow. They asked for it, and they got it. Back in August, we reported that Japanese Xbox 360 owners had filed a petition, calling for Oblivion to be translated into Japanese. The title was available in an English-language Asian version; Japanese gamers who wanted to play it had to muddle through in a foreign language. But with 360 sales low, localization didn't seem like it was even worth it. Xbox Japan pinged the Kotaku mailbox and sends word that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will available in Japanese sometime next year. Inspiring, really. Brian Ashcraft
