This Day in Gaming, December 22nd

1989: Konami releases Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse for NES in Japan. It's a prequel to the first two Castlevania titles - and also features half-nude statues in the Japanese version. Just don't tell my mom...err...roommate.

1999: Eidos releases Fighting Force 2 for DC in the US. Xbox Live could use a good 2d brawler (or 3D for that matter).

2005: Square Enix releases Kingdom Hearts II for PS2 in Japan. I know this series is kind of a big deal, but I've never really gotten it. Mixing Mickey Mouse and Ariel just feels strange...like crossbreeding a bulldog with a chihuahua...same sex, both of them dressed up in costume with one missing a leg. Anyone want to clarify why this series is so great?
