On the off chance any of you out there actually have any money, now's the time to dig deep. Win this auction and not only are you giving to charity, you're scoring an awesome piece of gaming history to boot:
This Atari 2600 video game system was used from 1981 to 1983 by the Imagic game company to develop and debug their games. Imagic modified it, putting the CPU chip on the outside in a quick-release socket; this was to allow the use of an "in-circuit emulator" (ICE) to debug games. This is one of only three 2600 systems that were ever modified in this way by Imagic, and it is the only one known to still exist.
The winning bidder will also receive a signed "letter of authenticity" from Imagic co-founder Rob Fulop. 100% of proceeds go to Child's Play, but as of writing, the max bid is only a paltry $305. Come on, you lot can do better than that, even you broke-ass, student Kotakuite types.
