No one is going to accuse video marketing during the eighties or nineties of being too good, but 1UP has found the worst of the worst game advertising. Again. What might be the most amazing thing about this, the third round of piss poor video game ads, is that it took them this long to finally got around to including those awful Ion Storm/Daikatana ads from the late nineties.

The rest of the worst is a stream of liquid crap, from the pictured ATI ad featuring a man justifiably horrified by Lara Croft's angular boobs, to Bungie's Marathon 2 entry, featuring unsightly male nipples. What were you guys thinking?

One glaring error buried within the hilarity is author Scott Sharkey's slam against Valve for using hot assassin chicks in black spandex to promote Half-Life. He says they weren't in the game, but they were. They definitely were. Mmmm... spandex assassins.
