I'm a little creeped out at the fervor with which Xbox is forcing the cutsey Viva Pinata down our throats. First, there's the game itself, already disturbing on so many levels what with all the pinata cannibalism going on. Next, they foisted the cartoon on us, which was not only on network television, but invaded XBox Live Marketplace as well. This morning I received an email with the off putting subject line "Shake your candy maker". I hesitantly opened it, only to discover that now we are graced with a rather dull flash game "Viva Pinata Dance Off".

You get to choose from three pinatas that will do a little dance as you control them with the arrow keys to your choice of three soundtracks. You can also record your little dance for posterity, laughs at drunken parties, or to email to unsuspecting relatives that you don't like that much. If you've got very young children, they will probably find this amusing for a few minutes... at least until the ADD kicks in. Flynn De Marco
