From merrye olde England comes this piece from our collective video game time capsule. It seems that in between creating such stellar pieces of Broadway offal as _Cats_ and _Starlight Express_, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber was busy arranging classics for video game music cassette singles.
Ah, the cassette single (or "cassingle" as it's known in some circles), one of the most ridiculous wastes of time, money and plastic ever created. Why buy the whole album when you can spend half as much for a nice bulky cassette that only has one, maybe two songs on it?
Reader Kerem C. found this one in the depths of his childhood belongings along with "the usual homemade compilation albums and dodgy singles". I'd love to hear what it sounds like, so if you have the technology, Kerem, please make us an MP3 copy of it. I'm especially intrigued by the B side hit, "Play Game Boy". Perhaps Mr. LLoyd Webber could revisit this and bring us the first Broadway show based on a video game: Tetris: The Musical!
