Today Sega announced that they have entered into a worldwide licensing agreement with Marvel granting them exclusive rights to develop video games based on Iron Man. The first project in the pipes is a game based off the 2008 Iron Man movie, starring Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, the millionaire alcoholic playboy heart-patient superhero. No details on the movie's plot have been revealed, but I expect it to answer the questions, "Has he lost his mind? Can he see or is he blind?" once and for all.
I'm pretty excited here, being both a huge fan of Iron Man and a Sega enthusiast, at least when they're not viciously sodomizing their Sonic franchise in 3D. The last console title that primarily featured Shellhead was Acclaim's dismal Iron Man XO-Manowar in Heavy Metal for the Saturn and PS1, so the bar isn't set all that high to begin with. I figure as long as they include a man in some sort of armor they're golden.
