1997: Capcom hires George Romero to direct a commercial for Resident Evil 2 in Japan. I'm pretty disappointed. The actual commercial seen here wasn't really that great - the actors look like they're 12, stepping straight off some Disney music stage to a zombie attack.
1999: Sega and Itochu team up to make a Sonic line of clothing. It's called the "Sonic Fashion Project" and promotes the themes of "speed & style", as well as the street theme "getting your blue butt kicked".
2002: Konami releases Contra: Shattered Soldier for PS2 in the US. The game is known as being even harder than the very hard Sega version. But that's why they call it Shattered Soldier and not Soldier Who Enjoys Tea and Muffins All Day.
