With the PLAYSTATION 3 delayed in Europe until next year, it's pretty clear that Microsoft will have a merry Christmas in the Old Country. At the company's X06 event, Ubisoft's prez Yves Guillemot talked up the 360. Ubi has pledged an exclusive Splinter Cell for the Microsoft console. So what does Guillemot think?
What Microsoft is showing is that even if Sony has a lead in market share, Xbox is going to get better penetration in Europe... Splinter Cell was created on the first Xbox, so we thought it was important to come back for one volume with Microsoft to create a very good quality title focused on using the full power of the system... For us it's a good way to win the next-gen battle. We love Xbox 360 because it's easy to develop on and that's why we want to put great quality products on it.
That's right. Ubisoft doesn't like the Euro-penetrating Xbox 360, they kissy-face love it.
