Slaves of the Red Mansion, by Japan's Takayashiki Development, is a fantasy computer game about girls sold into sexual slavery. Yep. And Chinese internet people are calling it "blasphemy" as the game is apparently a naughty reworking of a classic work of Chinese literature, Dream of the Red Chamber (AKA Dream of the Red Mansion). Says one Intertubes surfer at portal Sohu.com:

Turning Dream of the Red Chamber into a lewd game besmirches a treasure of Chinese literature, and is a desecration of Chinese culture.

The game's character apparently has been slandered and turned into a half-bred bastard child. Moreover, the title features images of scantily-clad girls attached to chains and comes with an adults-only warning. A click check of a Takayashiki Development NSFW website turns up pretty much what you'd expect: A small-time operation specializing in smut. Is this a game even worth taking seriously?
