The Guardian's Jack Schofield takes a very dark look at the future of the Playstation 3. Warning, this is not for the weak of heart, or strong of PS3 support. Schofield says Sony could go from "first to worst" and says that its all been downhill since the PS2.
While most of the story focuses on the drubbing the PS3 and Sony is getting in both the blogger and mainstream press, there are some bright bits of news in the column straight from Phil Harrison.
Harrison says: "We have shown more playable games than ever before, so the signs are good, and right now there are more than 100 Blu-ray movies available today, in the US. More than 100 games are in development, and all the major third-party publishers have pledged their strategic support for the platform."
The article wraps up with a near reversal of opinion and Schofield quoting a developer saying that a "three-way tie is possible." Yes, but not likely.
