2001: Capcom releases Mega Man Xtreme 2 for GBC in Japan. Seriously, people still think "Xtreme" is cool in the new millennium? Unfreakinbelievable.
2001: Square Co. releases Final Fantasy X for PS2 in Japan. This marked when the whole series started looking boybandy. But that big ass sword? Still Xtreme.
2002: Nintendo releases Super Mario Sunshine for GC in Japan. Just when you think Mario can't get any more awesome, he busts out the wayfarers.
2002: Sony discontinues production of the Japan-only PocketStation - a memory card glorified with a RISC chip, black and white LCD, some buttons and infrared. The best function was that players could load minigames from their PS2 titles that could help them advance while on the road. Why doesn't the PSP offer cross-platform advancement with all their ported stuff?
