Japanese game promotion seems to equal girls in skirts. It's nice to see that Bandai Namco understands that this isn't the only game in town. So promoting an Ultimate Muscle game entails shirtless men in hot pants, luchador masks and bright plastic balls.
Yesterday, at the Tokyo Dome, Bandai Namco used a Japanese pro-wrestling event to create buzz for the PS2 title Kinniku Man Muscle Gran Prix MAX. Festivities included gaijin wrestlers winning money and a masked dude throwing pink balls at the crowd.
The sweaty guys are a good start, but if they really want to draw a crowd, Bandai ought to do more with the game's logo. Hit the jump and see the light. Literally.
