A few month's back, Wired did a really great piece on Otome (Maiden) Road and onna otaku (she-geeks). The article even listed ten ways to pick out a female otaku in the wild. TV station Nihon Terebi profiled these ladies in a recent news segment entitled "Renai Game" in Hamaru Onnatachi (Women Stuck in Dating Sims).

I didn't get to see the actual broadcast, but images from the program have appeared online. The woman above was interviewed and said, "I'm really relaxed, but I think I'm being kinda stupid."

Why doesn't some matchmaker hook these girl otaku up with the boy otaku in Akihabara? The mind boggles at the super geek spawn they'd produce. Brian Ashcraft
