Here's a concept controller for the ill-fated Sega console that resembles the Wiimote. The image is from a 2001 issue of Dreamcast Magazine, which featured an article on Dreamcast controller mock-ups and included this cord-connected Sega Wiimote-thingy. The text above the mock-up says Shikou sakugo no renzoku—'"zanshin sugiru" dezai(n), which in English means "Trail and error continues—'overly novel' design." So, did Nintendo swipe this design? Doubt it, but it does add to the theory that the Dreamcast (R.I.P.) birthed all things next-gen.
