Not only is the Opera browser coming soon to the Nintendo DS but they've just announced a Wii version coming to Nintendo's new gyromatic console shortly after launch.
This is actually an excellent strategy on Opera's part. Frankly, they are never going to get significant marketshare on the PC — their browser is certainly slick and spiffy, but Firefox's extendability and Internet Explorer's ubiquity really have blown both kneecaps out from under them. However, being the first real web browser for two consoles gives them early dominance in an emerging market — the web-capable console.
Kudos to Opera for realizing that establishing a dominant web-browser on consoles that can successfully emulate mouse movement is a major new market before Mozilla and Microsoft.
