Guillermo del Toro to Make Zombie Apocalypse Game?

DEL%20TORO.jpgGuillermo del Toro — the director of Blade 2, Hellboy and cult-favorite Cronos — is trying his hand at a video game. Not just any video game, though... a video game in Kotaku's favorite genre! We refer, of course, to the zombie apocalypse genre.

Details are scanty, but the game will be called Sundown, despite the fact that it is about zombies and not vampires. The brief description over at the Hollywood Reporter notes that players "will have to survive an apocalypse that leaves a world infected with zombies and other potentially fatal horrors."

Will it be good? Who knows? Guillermo del Toro's name attached to any product makes its quality erratic to predict. Hellboy in particular was a big rubbery one. That he's diving into a new medium makes things even more pessimistic. Still, the world can never have too many zombie games.
