Kevin Ray Underwood, the man accused of being a failed cannibal and little girl killer, liked to play online RPG Kingdom of Loathing.
I only mention Underwood's computer gaming interest because the Associated Press felt it was relevant enough to include it in their rather short and unremarkable look at this accused man-monster.
From the story:
He wrote that he rarely left his apartment for long stretches, except to go to work and to buy food. "I just sit here at the computer every minute of the day, when I'm not at work. A week or so ago, I spent my day off sitting here at the computer, barely moving from the chair, for 14 hours." He said one of his main interests was the online role-playing game "Kingdom of Loathing," in which stick figures battle one another.
Do you think the AP would have included that he really dug Chihuahuas or liked to ice skate if either were true?
For of those not familiar with the game, Kingdom of Loathing is, despite its name, a humorous online RPG animated with stick figures. Personally, I think including that bit of detail would have been worthwhile.
