The chat filter for NCsoft's hugely popular MMORPG Guild Wars does just that. It filters. Bad words are stricken from the record, giving gamers a clean environment to shoot the breeze. However, Kotaku reader Antipode points out obvious hypocrisies like the word "damn" is negged, even though one of the monsters is called "Damned Cleric." Other unfairness includes the censoring of "Sega." However, "Nintendo" makes it through as does "Sony" and "Microsoft." That's some funny filtering over there at Guild Wars.
