According to the April issue of gaming mag Game Informer, the next Halo game isn't titled Halo 3 or even H3. No, no, no, the game's gonna be called "Forerunner." That's it, period.

A Bungie team member brushed off such claims as an April Fool's joke (and so did everyone else on the planet), but Game Informer is resolute. Apparently an upcoming edition of the mag says it's no monkey business. They stick to their story that the next Halo ditches its franchise name and will be just dubbed "Forerunner," pissing off every clerk at Best Buy who must repeatedly explain to confused customers that "Forerunner" is in fact the third Halo game.

More rumormongering includes Bungie developing an MMO, based on the Halo universe. Now, that we can buy.
