The Xbox Live free weekend actually started at 10 p.m. last night apparently.
While all those Xbox 360 gamers out there who didn't pay for Live are chomping at the bit to get online, I'm sure about how the rest of us feel. Is this going to cause network issues? Will my evenings of high-end, luxory online gaming be filled with the "wrong sorts of people"? I don't know about this, I always thought Live was a sort of exclusive club with a paying membership. :)
I'm just screwing with you, though I do wonder if the Live network is going to crumble under the increased users.
Here's the stuff happening during the free weekend:
A 72-hour multiplayer schedule of the most exciting games on Xbox 360.
Game with Fame with Kamal from The Roots in NBA 2K6. Look for Gamertag "RootsGWF" on Friday, March 31st from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M. Eastern (12 P.M. to 2 P.M. Pacific).
Download the Xbox Live exclusive acoustic high-def performance of "Single" and Unwritten" from Xbox Live Artist of the Month, Natasha Bedingfield.
Xbox Ambassadors will be online all weekend hosting new gamers on Xbox Live.
Lucky 7 Play & Win: You could win simply for playing! Play a total of at least seven hours over the weekend to be entered into a drawing for Xbox Live prizes.
Ubisoft Challenge: Play Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter with members of the game's development and marketing teams on Friday March 31st from 10 P.M. to 12 A.M. Eastern and Sunday April 2nd from 8 P.M. to 11 P.M. Eastern.
Frag Doll Friday: Take on Ubisoft's fierce gaming crew on Sunday, April 2, starting at 6 P.M. Eastern (3 P.M. Pacific) in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter.
