Yahoo News reports that they have verified with a Sony rep that the Playstation 3 will come with a 60GB HD built in.
Sony, earlier this week, said the hard drive would be required to play games but that it might be an optional upgrade. When I spoke with a Sony rep that day she told me they were still scrambling to try and get some verification from Sony Japan about the hard drive.
I hate to say I doubt Yahoo News, but I'll try verifying this information with the U.S. Sony reps when they get in later today.
On Wednesday it sounded like Sony hadn't even decided yet what they were doing about the hard drive.
