A hacker who goes by the name of TheSpecialist claims to have found a backdoor into the Xbox 360. TheSpecialist says he figured out a way to use the DVD firmware to allow him to gain full control of the DVD and get it to accept backups of original game DVDs.
He hasn t yet done the deed, but TheSpecialist claims to be close to getting the Xbox 360 to boot up with a backup.
If this is true, that means a mod-free hack for the 360 and a very angry Microsoft.
