At ten minutes to ten, a Sofmap employee stands at the front of the line and announces the store will be opening early. Everyone stands up, including the first guys in line, who have spent the entire night sitting on the cold pavement.

Chair are collected. The Sofmap employee then says we will enter the shop in groups of four. Math tells me that I'll be entering with Converse, the Rotund Gentleman and Chubby Face. How fitting.
