The Tokyo-based company announced today that it planned to expand the PlayStation Spot to more than 150 comic cafes, stores, train stations and subways throughout Japan. The PlayStation spot offers gamers free WiFi content such as demos.
Sony says different locals will get different demos, but their Ginza showroom will have the most. A good chunk of the demos are already out, but there are upcoming goodies instore like Hudson's Cream Stew Owarai no Tamago L Size and the delightful LocoRoco.
Good to see Sony finally getting down for a good ol' fashion cat fight with Nintendo. Maybe it's a case of too little, too late, but free PSP WiFi on every street corner spitting out downloads can only help. Just waiting on more killer games, though...
