Jeremy Parish's newish bi-weekly look at classic games he (and we) may have missed out on goes broader this time, looking at the rich history of Taito. With Taito pumping out four retro collections over the past year, and one of those published in the States by Sega, it's helpful to know what the good (i.e. Elevator Action, Qix) and the just plain awful (i.e. Violence Fight, Growl) are.

Keep in mind, Parish's look at these questionable classics doesn't necessarily mean that Taito has seen fit to include them on a classic comp. But if you're looking to pick some up while trolling for MAME ROM's, its a must read.
