Slim and streamlined this week (like we're dieting to get ready for the spring/summer season), Multi-Tap is back with a brand new edition.
When Bomberman's "new look" turned out to be goth Bomberman meets Tony Stark in the Iron Man costume people were less than impressed.
"This new bomber man looks pretty lame, I didn't see any problem with how he originally looked. I used to play it becuase it was a fun game not because bomberman looked badass." - CalvinV
"I guess this is Bomberman "Hardcore Gamer Edition". Can't wait for Super Mario Bros. "Hardcore Gamer Edition" feauturing a italian immigrant from New Jersey Porn Plumber visiting a rich princess from Serbia & Montenegro while Koopa turns into a Terrorist from Palestine." - VakeroRokero
"Hey, if the gameplay's just as great who cares?" - Albo
Heads turned over a leak we stumbled across in the form of a survey that verified the PS3's use of Blu-Ray (duh) and 1080p displays.
"Most consumers, even casual gamers, are aware that we're all going to HAVE to move over to HD TV in the US. Soon. You guys are a real bunch of negative nellies. I can't wait for the PS3." - Janine (Oh, how I want to make a Mike Doughty reference, here)
"They're going to get skewed results from this. I'm willing to bet that the majority of PS2 owners don't read gaming news." - MasaMuneCyrus
"Sony PR has been touting the 1080p, dual screen, 120 FPS capability and selling it like games will run like this. Ken himself has been saying this, only adding to the madness. People are going to pay a decent amount of money for either: A) A system that isn't as powerfull as they thought, and if they bought a 1080 capable tv for it they might be pissed, or B) Pay for fill rates and resolutions they will never see because they can't/won't spend the cash for a 1080 set." - D
It's not a week in gaming without Peter Moore pulling a Bonnie Rait and "giving 'em something to talk about." This week, he did it with his assertion that PC gaming will once again become central to Microsoft's strategy (cue Vista plugging, now).
"Remember that XNA is also 360 compatible. And there is (was) plans to take live to PCs, and 360's controllers work with PCs too." - Skamaniscool
"I'm willing to be a large amount of money that Moore doesn't actually believe that corporate-speak BS that just flew out of his mouth." - Robert Summa
"By shutting out the PC, you may be killing off the one last avenue for independent developers to break onto the scene and change the face of gaming. Yeah, I love to play on consoles too (as my pro-Xbox 360 posts show), but I recognize the value of PCs and PC gaming as an independent venue. By choosing to focus exclusively on consoles, you're denying them a voice." - Webimpulse
