It depends which game you are playing, but once you log on to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, the specific game will let you know if anyone on your Friend Code list is currently online.

What's the difference between registering, linking and logging in?
Registering is what you do when you create a brand new MyNintendo account. When you link your Nintendo Wi-Fi ID to your account, we track your stats and game information. When you login to your account at Nintendowifi.com we can show you personalized stats and extras.

How do I get to race in that Mario Kart featured race of the week or get my icon posted?
Every Wednesday at 3 p.m. Pacific time, a guest NOA hops online and races in Worldwide mode. If you're lucky enough to meet up with that NOA, your race could be recorded and featured in the NintendoWiFi.com Gaming Hub. We also go online from time-to-time and take snapshots of peoples' icons to showcase in the Gaming Hub gallery pages.

More than 550,000 gamers logged on to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection in its first seven weeks of service, and over 10 million wireless game connections have been made.

How do I find a hotspot near me?
Visit the hotspot locator and type in your Zip Code/Postal Code. If there are hotspots in your area, they'll show up on the map. If you can't find a hotspot in your first try, click the box marked "Check to see both partner and non-partner hotspots" and search again. This service lets you search within a 20-mile radius of your Zip Code/Postal Code.

I don't have wireless Internet, but I have a broadband connection. How can I get on Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection?
Windows XP users can purchase the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector from our online store. This adapter plugs in to your computer's USB port and can send a wireless signal to your Nintendo DS. Up to five DS systems can be connected to the internet at the same time with one Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector.
