TheYak over at 3DGPU points out a cool little homebrew app for the DS that lets you use the portable for wardriving. DS2Key was created for use as a wireless gamepad emulator so you can remotely control games, according to TheYak. But he found that it was a bit buggy, instead he thinks the program's best use is wardriving. The software displays signal strengths, WEP status, MAC addresses and SSID's for six networks at a time.
Personally, I like using the PSP's built-in detection software, though it doesn't auto refresh, which is a pain in the ass.
