Last week we reported on the rumor that Mortal Kombat: Armageddon was going to feature a whopping 60 characters. This week Gamespot has the official word on the game. Not only will it feature more than 60 playable characters, it will also let you create your own fighters with a Create-A-Kombatant option which lets you pick out moves, clothing and the look of your character. Gamespot says that the fatality system will be "reinvented" and that midair combos and directional throws will be included. The game is scheduled to hit the Xbox and PS2 in October.
